Hello,
I have a very strange problem with my Xperia Z2. After unlocking the display on the device is blank. You can see the brightness, the touch works, because when I swipe my fingers I can hear android sound but there is no picture. I must do "lock - unlock" pattern 3-4 times, sometimes even more to get the display work properly. I tried to fix it by using software repair but it didnt work, and also

factory reset. Its just so iritating, I cant even lock my phone anymore, I try to keep the display on as much as possible if someone trys to call me so I can answer it.So is this a hardware problem or software problem ? Any help would be appreciated.

The fact you've already tried reset and software repair means you're probably best off contacting your local support for a possible fix

My personal opinion is that it could be a hardware fault, but whether it's GPU, screen or anything in in-between is anyone's guess

Hello @MindMaster and welcome to the community!

Considering that a software repair didn't sort this out it might related to hardware rather than software. I agree with @Viridis, contact your Local support in order to have your device sent to and examined by an authorized service centre. It's hard for us to answer the cause of what you are experiending here as it appears to be hardware related.

Hi ,

I got the same problem in my Sony Xperia Z2 today (10/08/2017). The screen is completely blank / black. But the touch is working. Could this be due to the fuse in the mother board which has completely cut off the power to LCD back light ? Also I need to buy original accessories (charging unit and headset) for Xperia. A fake products are here in Sri Lanka. How much will it cost if the accessories are imported from Sony manufacturers ?

I have the same problem but I dropped my phone the screen faceplanted on the floor and now its blank. When I plug it into the computer it shows that its there but I can't unlock it. My phone has been through so many repairs I don't think it will last much longer.
