Hi, guys!

If the sound is very quiet even after a long time, then you should dip your phone’s speaker part into the alcohol (medical)!

The phone is Not Water-Proof. Its Water Resistant. Try not to push the boundaries of its design otherwise you will ruin your new phone.

The speakers need to dry out. Please read the manual, it says that after coming in contact with water the speaker is likely going to need time to dry out, this can take from several hours to days depending on the conditions. There is nothing wrong with your phone, its not broken from what you've said, simply it just needs time to dry out. Refrain from using the speakers also, this will inhibit the drying process otherwise.

Goodluck

Unfortunatley, some users have been rather silly and gone swimming with the device =/ I was hoping you were not one of those people who thought the phone would take such a plunge lol.

It should dry out without a day and be working like new. This happened to my phone so I am taking it from experience. If your phone doesn't dry out over the course of a day or two. Try using a container of rice to draw out the speakers for a few hours.

Same problem Happened bought the phone a few days ago tried to test it to see the WATER PROOF functionality btw to everyone it says on the website in the features waterprrof not water resistant but actually WATER PROOF anyway took into the pool not more than 1 meter and the sound was very low for like an hour or so after I let it air out for a bit it returned to normal volume again but again it states clearly that it is waterproof on the website even the Ad shows people underwater taking pictures with it that's pretty much the main angle of the Z series.

Whilst the phone does have a high Ip rating, not all features/functions are going to work whilst the phone is wet/submerged. The speaker will drop in volume whilst there is water in the speaker cavity and there is no way around this other than to have the speaker on the surface of the body of the device which would leave it quite susceptible to damage.

Hello, everyone! My Xperia Z-5 Premium bought just a few months ago, got wet in rain today (for about 3-4 seconds).
Now the speakers aren't working properly and it got kinda slow after that. Any idea how to get this fixed? Every suggestion is welcome. Thank you in advance.
