Is there any way to reduce the amount of Jpeg compression applied to photos on the Xperia Z? A 13mp camera and Im getting 2mb photo files that look pretty dire. Fine detail is lost.

I have found that I get better results using manual settings but still not as good as I would have hoped for from a 13mp sensor.

Thanks.

I would like to have such a feature too. Even my old Sony Ericsson K800i had a setting to change the JPEG compression level (which was called 'picture quality').

This has been discussed in numerous other threads =/ don't know why you'd feel the need to start a new one...anywho though a feature like this would certainly please many of the users requesting or complaining that picture quality is poor for them due to the compression of the images done in post processing.

hi, about photo compression, where's the problem actually? is it on the camera(machine) or the software? I mean, if its on the camera, we all xperia z user can't do anything right, it will be always like that forever, BUT if its on the software, we can STILL put BIG HOPE in SONY for the new update (after 10.1.1.A.1.253), so the camera quality and file size could be better and bigger. please answer..
