Z3+ Missing burst mode after upgrade to 6.0

Hi all

I cannot select burst mode on my Z3+'s camera. I running Android 6.0. Has anyone else experienced this? Any way to get it back?

Hi @DKJWR,

After the update you may have to install the Timeshift Burst app for the camera.

Open the Camera app.
Swipe from the right until you come to the "Camera apps" section.
Tap on "Add".
Find "Timeshift Burst" in the list, tap it and choose to install it.

I'm using the built in app, and I see no way of removing & downloading it again.

And select uninstall, then just reinstall it.

Hii all..
i'm using Xperia Z3 and i just update to Marshmallow and so disapointed sony has took away burst mode feature in main camera in the Marshmallow...it such and important feature for me cuz i always using burst mode in sporty...so Sony please bring the burst mode back...

Welcome to the community.

Timeshift Burst is located under the camera apps section on the right. If it is not there by default, press the + at the bottom to download it.

Burst in 720p or 1080p? What is it, 2008? I know it's not your fault, but your bosses need to think about what competition is offering and they're offering burst mode, zero-shutter lag, full manual controls in ''Manual'' mode and screen flash in selfie camera. Is it so hard to implement in 2016?

After upgrading to 6.0, burst mode feature is missing from Superior Auto, sony please bring that feature back, it was very useful...

Have to agree on this - Superior mode should live up to its name by being Superior and have all features within it with standard settings! Anyhow Timeshift Burst it is as an alternative, albeit inconvenient, way of getting the perfect shot for my baby girl before she makes a dart for my phone!

I've noticed however that after launching Timeshift Burst from the Camera app that the Camera app remains open/running seperately ... surely this doesn't make sense? Rather Timeshift Burst should open WITHIN the Camera app? I'm conscious of battery usage ...

Timeshift burst is totally different from the burst mode that came with my xperia z2 and vastly inferior, in fact if this "upgrade" had been detailed in the update description I wouldn't have updated.

I agree, why is it updates/upgrades always do away with the features that people love.

On my Z2 I had the phone configured so that I could swipe open the camera app from the lock screen, push and hold the button and take a multitude of shots which I could then sort through at my leisure.

Now having to use the timeshift burst app, I have to scroll across, load a seperate app, wasting time and possibly missing the shot I wanted, then having taken a load of shots I have to choose just one to keep.

Not only that but the app can't be accessed through the camera from the lock screen.

Image stabilisation is on permanently now and cannot be turned off.

As I am sure Sony know - Time Burst is not very good. The quality of the photos is very poor and you can only save one - which you have to choose straight away. It is surely wrong to remove functionality from a phone? I bought the Z3 mainly because of the burst mode. You now have made it a completely rubbish phone for me and I am stuck with it for a long time yet. Surely you should bring it back or at the very least make some easy way to return to a previous version of the software where is does exisit.
