You can disable hangouts, facebook etc. But the data is still there unfortunately (the default size occupied by the apps).

Hi @152bobby,

To expand on what alexdon said disabling a pre-installed app will uninstall all the updates downloaded for the app and the app won't be updated again as long as it is disabled.

Disabling apps in the Downloaded list will generally not affect other apps, you will simply not be able to use the features that the app provides as long as it is disabled. It is always possible to enable an app that you have disabled previously if you wish to use it at some point in the future.

Yes, you can disable some of them (do not touch system apps though). There is an app called debloater which can freeze some of the apps you might not need.

Just had a look at the app called Debloater Free and it requires your phone to be rooted, so that's no good to the people who want to keep their 1 year/2 year Sony warranty valid. (depending what country you are in). That alone is a joke, why in the UK Sony gives 2 year warranty, whilst in other countries they only give 1 year!!

I suppose there may be similar apps!!!

I thought it doesn't need root access if you are above KK.

Hello!

I just finally got my hands on an unused Z4 Tablet after several months search online. Now I want to uninstall Spotify, Hangouts and some other apps but I only get the option to Disable since these apps are system apps for some strange reason.

Is the only way to completely remove these apps is to root the tablet?

Could you put in a request in next software update to let these apps become normal apps so we can uninstall them properly without root?

Thanks
