I'm sorry to hear that, but it seems like that's a hardware issue, if the phone was purchased in a different country the warranty its only available in that country. Also, if the phone its not available in your country, Sony can't check the phone for the same reason.

Hi @MikeOr

Welcome to the community.

I would suggest checking to see if these issues are coming from the hardware of the handset. We have a build in feature called Xperia Diagnostics to help with this.

Go to Settings > About phone > Diagnostics.

Tap Test device.

Select the tests for the Display.

Follow the on-screen instructions.

Could you let us know what the results of that are?

I have a Z5 Dual E6683 myself in Bangladesh and have no official warranty. I have checked 3 more phones before i bought this unit and 3 of em had the same problem you described , the white screen has some (2 or 3 bright and subsequent darker horizontal bar types stripes across the screen) problems. Then i bought the 4th one I saw and i had the least of em and thus I have bought it. now using it for like 2 weeks or so I am noticing that the screen is getting darker bar type horizontal areas (3 of em ) from the right side of the screen to the middle of the screen with fading endings. it looks like the screen is getting old or dieing or getting tired at those areas. Its not that prominent when the brightness is at its full or displaying mixed color contents but its kinda noticeable when the display is showing white color or shades. I don't know what to think or what to do here. Worried about a faulty unit or manufacturing faults.

If anyone has any sort of solution or reason behind this please come forward.

Hi @MikeOr, I got the same problem with my phone, it's two weeks old and I got those lines, I went to the Store where I bought this phone and they told me it was a pressure I made to the screen, which it is not true, because I always keep the phone on surfaces and I never put something on it, so my question is, how did you fix this? Did you take it to a Xperia Center? I just did and I pay for it, the problem is that I'm not able to ask for warranty, because the phone was not bought in an "official" Sony Store, so even though the phone was bought two weeks ago, I need to pay full for the full repair, I would really appreciate your answer, Thank You
