I turned off the battery saving function which you can find under Settings / Battery and Battery saving mode located in the three dots menu in the upper right corner.

Vibration worked before updating to Marshmallow. After updating to MM vibration doesn't work anymore. Anyone else with same problem? Anyone with a solution?

Luckily this was caused by the battery saving function. I hadn't read the information well enough when turning it on. Strange that the Diagnostics function didn't override the settings and turned the vibration on.

<P>Thank you for the information that allowed for me to get the vibration back.&nbsp; It does seem however that this is a flaw in the Sony software.&nbsp; The use of Stamina mode is great to preserve the battery.&nbsp; In that, there are ones that you can choose to override Stamina (on mine through "battery optimization" and I have a short list of things such as gmail and facebook in that category.&nbsp; It would seem that the ability to override the vibrate restriction should be available.&nbsp; I checked both in aps and "all others" which is system modules but did not see one to override the vibrate.&nbsp; I tried dualshock but that was not it.&nbsp; I have had to change the setting to not go into Stamina mode until the battery reaches 15% and that takes my battery from lasting almost three days down to barely making it two days.&nbsp; This is quite disappointing on the part of Sony,</P>
