Hmmm ok ok, I just saw in the description of the Helium App Sync and Backup app that you need to download Helium Desktop and in order to continue you need to put your USB connectivity mode to "PTP". Is that the same as "MTP" that Xperia Z2 users have? And thanks a lot btw @Thommo

Hi guys! I have a question. Let's say I want to do a factory reset or system repair and I want to back up my apps and my data via the Back Up and Restore, will my apps AND the data on it be restored? Because the previous times I did a factory reset on my Z and backed up data, it didn't have a lot of effect, because I still had to re-download all the apps and lost all the data (except if gaming data was stored on Google Play)

Use Helium from the Play store - That will backup apps and it's data which you can transfer to other Android devices - Pc companion may backup those items but some claim to have issues restoring - Helium is an app members like myself use and many others part of the XDA community

Oh never mind, I googled it and found out that MTP is basically the same as PTP, but only a better version or a version with extensions. Thanks again#
