Error Camera not Available

When i try to open the main camera, the screen remains black and after some time "Error Camera not available" message pops up. However, the front camera seems to work fine.
I tried restarting the phone, hard reset, factory data reset and repair from sony pc companion but the problem still persists. In xperia diagnostics, main camera and flash dont work.
I had this phone for about a month now and this problem never came up. The camera problem came out of nowhere yesterday.
What should I do now ??

Looks like hardware problem to me. Contact your Local support.

I forgot to mention that in my numerous restarts and cleaning the camera data and cache, the main camera worked once but only for a few seconds and when i try to open the flash light by a 3rd party app, it says "Flash is being used by another app".

This might sound really stupid but i have no idea what u need to do after you get into safe mode. I tried opening the camera and the flash again but the same thing happened. I knw u close apps and do stuff like that in safe mode but i have no clue as to what apps i need to close. I tried to force close the camera app and disable it and then re-enable it and then open the camera but that didnt seem to do the trick. Any ideas ?

Sorry, if you already tried the repair and safe mode and other options don't help, you should visit a close sony service.

To enable Safe mode on most Android devices just follow the steps below:

While the phone is on, press and hold down the power key.
In the pop up window, touch and hold Power off until the Reboot to safe mode message appears.
Tap OK to reboot in safe mode.

To exit Safe mode just restart the handset

I would also suggest checking to see if this is a potential hardware problem. To use Xperia Diagnostics

Go to Settings > About phone > Diagnostics.
Tap Test device.
Select the Charging
Follow the on-screen instructions.

If it fails test have a chat with your contact your Local support team as it will need to be serviced.

I checked the service menu (*#*#7378423#*#*) and when i went to main camera it says "Camera not connected" and the front camera stopped working too. The problem with my local service centre is that, apparently, they do not handle xperia z3+ in canada and i bought this phone from amazon.com.
