Sound problems

Hi everyone,

My phone doesn't have enough sound as it was before. I mean all sounds like system notifications, ring tones, music, videos are not so loud in a maximum level, I can't hear my phone in my handbag when it's calling!

But if use my earbuds everything works good as usual.

My phone was not dropped or under the water or rooted or something like this..

Any ideas how to fix it?

I'll be appreciated for any advice.

That might be a bug, but boot and safe mode and check.

How to boot on safe mode on Lolipop
1. press and hold the power key
2. once you get the pop up menu
3. press and hold "power off"
4. Boot on safe mode should become available

Try this:
- Go to Settings -> Apps -> All -> Audio settings -> Clear data and restart your phone.

The volume difference between the Sony z3 running kitkat 4.4 Vs Lollipop 5.X.X is quite substantial. It's not your phone. Sony turned the volume down a bit too much.

I have Z1 and I thought it was only a Z1 problem. Yes definitely very low after lollipop. And Sony support dont think so. I was told - no one else has reported it (which I dont agree obviously)

So if your phones are in warrenty, send it to sony. Put it on their record.

Me too having the same problem after the lollipop update.i'm using xperia Z3 D6653.I have contacted xperia support they are not

giving a proper solution for me.

Hi all,
I have the same problem with my Sony Z3 can't hear when have a call. I did update to lollipop few moths ago, and from yesterday appear this problem
I try update for repair but don't fix the low calling sound.
After send the phone to service somebody can tell me if resolved the problem?

Please gave your handset to Sony xperia service center.They will fix it.Mine having the same problem Xperia service fixed it.It's a hardware issue.

I also have the same problem here.. Suddenly the sound drop.. Im playing music okey.. After a minute the sound drops.

Sony programmers, do fix this please. I toohave this audio issues after lollipop update. Audio level sometimes goes to earpiece level. If a sms or alert happens in between, volume is restored to normal. So this is a software bug. Yesterday i put the latest update. With each update i expected a fix. Now hope is over. Moving back to original os. And no another sony phone again because of this.

This issue is normal in lollipop 5.0.1 and 5.1.1, if You want good sound quality flash kitkat 4.4.4. and don't update it till marshmallow 6.0

Don't bother updateing to Marshmallow expecting this to fix it, it wont, infact it makes it even quieter, so low even the sound test fails!
