Charging overnight

I've been hearing news about charging and stuff. I heard that if u keep your phone connected to the charger overnight, it may harm the battery. I wanted to know if it's true in case if Xperia Z1.I WOULD LIKE A HONEST REPLY.

Leaving your phone on charger overnight won't generally harm your battery, provided that you are using the original charger. It's even stated in your user manual.
