Does your phone has a protective case/film? check if the lens its dirty, or if it has scratches.

No it has no covers on and is in of new condition, I'm really stumped with it and was thinking of daft things such as that.

Could you clean the camera lens and also

settings > apps > all > camera > clear data > restart the phone > check again.

Seems to have worked, I will keep trying it over the next 24 hours, see how it goes. Thanks very much, I'm a new user to android from apple-had enough of them so the operation of those phone is a little different, anotgerblessin learnt!

Don't worry about it, now you know where to come if you have any more questions, btw if you experience poor battery life, backup your phone and repair it with PCC, it will smooth things out.

If the object its near the lens it will take a macro picture, that's why I'm askin gif there's anything near it, even your fingers.

Mine won't close focus either, I've cleared data from the app with no success. It wont focus closer than about 8 inches and the lens is spotless. It's disconcerting:smileyshocked:

I'm not to keen on a reset and starting over.

Hello. Sorry for my English, but I'll try to explain my case. I have the same problem, my camera won't focus, when I want to use the video it freezes, and I see vertical green lines in both cameras. I made a software repair with PCC, clean the data, made the tests and both cameras passed them, so, I decide to leave it for a check up in a Sony repair store and they told me that they have to change my camera ($250).

My question is, do you think it's really necessary to change the camera or it could be a software problem? Thank you!
