Contacts Freeze

On my Z3 dual phone, When I search some number from contacts and try to call that person, Contacts freezes. I also get message that "Unfortunately contacts has stopped"

This is happening frequently now. I tried to "clear data" from Apps settings/contacts/clear data. But it didn't work. Please provide solution so that I can use a Basic function of my phone, which is Calling.

Go to settings-apps-all,look for both contacts and phone app. Force stop and clear data. Restart.

Thanks. As of now contacts are working fine. But one more problem occurred after I force stopped Contacts and Phone application. My contacts are mixed / linked with each other. For eg. When I open contact of A, I find that whatsapp contact of B is linked with it. I tried to do it manually, but there are approximately 2000 contacts. I can't check each and every contact for this. Can you please provide some solution for this.

Have you tried to go to contacts app and tap on settings - filter. See if you can uncheck facebook or any other accounts.

Hi,

For past 5 days, I am facing a weird problem with my xperia m4 aqua. Whenever data or wifi is on, my contacts and smses take ages to load. And as soon as I turn off the data and start the app again, they load very fast. I have tried clearing caches multiple times, unticked auto sync with google account, whatsapp, paytm, skype, fiddled around with permissions, in short done everything which I could figure out, but no luck. Also not able to figure out how to deny/allow any app permission for accessing something.

Please help..
