Smart Connect doesn't recognize bluetooth connection anymore

With SmartConnect, I used to turn on music and mobile data when my bluetooth car device pair my phone.

Working well until last the last Android Update (I think...).

But now, Smart Connect doesn't recognize ANY bluetooth connection (tried with headset or earphone recently).

I have to switch manually the event myself and so SmartConnect see that the bluetooth device is connected and then launch all the actions I want.

What I have:

Sony Xperia Z3 Compact (D5803)
Android 5.1.1
Build 23.4.A.1.232

Already tried to uninstall SmartConnect updates, no effects.

Try to clear the app SmartConnect data.

1. Tap the Application screen icon.
2. Find and tap Settings > Apps.
3. Swipe to the All tab.
4. Find and tap on the app.
5. Tap Force stop > Clear data.
6. Restart the phone

If that doesn't work then repair the phone with Sony PC Companion.

But, @uliwooly I don't know what is Safe mode and how to activate it... ?

I've just cleared the app data, restart and it works !
I didn't try the other solutions because this first one was nice.

Or

How to boot on safe mode on Lolipop
1. press and hold the power key
2. once you get the pop up menu
3. press and hold "power off"
4. Boot on safe mode should become available
