I can't get rid of long deleted files in my downloads folder
I tend to regularly move downloaded pics, pdfs and so on to Google drive or one of my pc's using drivesync, fx file commander or Total Commander.
But when I'm in the Downloads app it keeps displaying long gone files with an missing thumbnail
I am still using 4.4.4-1

Sorry Uliwooly, I provided insufficient info: already did the cache clean up for Album, Downloads and restarted before coming here...
The 'files' only show up using Downloads, all other file commanders just display the actually existing files.
Selecting and deleting them using Downloads itself doesn't do a thing.
It's almost as annoying as having an 3.1GB thumbnail file eating up my internal memory with just over 500MB in pics and vids

Somewhere it seems to keep an index of downloaded files and the only way to remove a file from that index is by deleting the real file from within the downloads app
