Xperia z5 patches on display?

I've had my Z5 for 3 days now and I cant fault it although on the first night I noticed the screen had bright patches in the middle which was odd. The phone has never been dropped and is cosmetically immaculate. Has anyone else got this issue and should I bring it up with Sony?

Can you post a photo of what you mean from another device?

It doesn't sound normal though.

No it doesnt sound normal, ill try and post a photo soon, it may not appear on a picture but basically the screen is all the same brightness then about halfway down the screen theres a patch just to the right theres a patch where its slightly brighter and a bit washed out. I have the screen protector that came in the box on but I dont think it will make a difference.

Welcome to the community.

Sorry to hear about the issues you have been experiencing. If a device fails one of the Xperia Diagnostic tests you would be best to have a chat with your contact your Local support team as it may need to be serviced. Otherwise have a chat with the folks you purchased that phone from and see what they can do to help.

Thanks, I guess thats all I can do and see if I can get a repair or replacement handset. Thankfully I noticed it early and the device is still immaculate so hopefully that will be the case. Its a shame though because the phone is excellent in every other way.

Not only that, the battery life on my handset is awful. I currently have stamina mode on,airplane mode on (WiFi on) screen brightness low and 2 applications open and with light use (social media, etc.) im estimated to run out of battery by 2pm this afternoon from a full charge at 8am which is appalling for a £550 phone. Ill try and gwt this one replaced but in the meantime Sony should really observe its quality control because judging by this forum there are many phones below quality that are slipping through the net.

dear,

i am facing the same problem with my sony xperia z5 dual which i bought on 5 days back, when i noticed it i promptly went to sony service centre they checked it throughly & admitted there is a problem with handset, they also promised to replace the handset under 7 days DOA program...

now awaiting for new 1............

but this is really pathetic:smileyrolleyes:

Glad to know im not the only one. Will try with the shop u bought the phone fromcwho will hopefully exchange mine under the DOA program. After all its in as new condition without a mark on it too.

yes.. even the back plastic protective is not yet off.. you have to contact sony service center for the same

I bought mine from Camphor Warehouse. Returned it yesterday and have a new handset and so far so good.

Same problem here.. Purchased my Xperia Z5 on Sunday took it back to store today and got it exchanged new device perfect so far

i think i need to go to the three store tomorrow where i got it from and have them replace it.
it'll be a day old tomorrow. it looks like theres a cloud in the middle of the screen , only shows up on a white background..

weird .
