I'd suggest that you do a PC Companion phone repair, this will do a clean installation of the latest firmware and will also wipe your internal memory.

Open PC companion -> Support zone -> Phone/tablet software update -> Repair my phone/tablet (blue link style). Follow the steps given, do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable.

http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/

I am facing some peculiar problem with Mobile Internet. I always turn off Mobile Internet if I am at home or when I am not using it. But if I turn it on again, then My phone is not getting connected to 2G or 3G. In the meantime, if I restart my phone, then its getting connected to Internet. I have no idea whats the actual issue, but one thing I have to restart my phone every now and then in order to use mobile internet. Please help me out of this. - Rishi Kumar S Nair

Hi,

That sounds strange. I suggest that you try another SIM-card to exclude problems related to the network. A new SIM-card from your operator or perhaps you have the possibility to try a SIM-card from another operator.

I have already tried the same. I have two sim cards from different operators. But its the same issue when I am trying to connect it to Mobile Internet. I am facing this issue once I start to use the mobile in India. Previously, I was in Dubai and it was always connected to 4G. I didnt face any issues during that time.
Is there any settings for Mobile Internet that I should change or not?

No, there are no settings for this. As long as you have the correct APN settings and activate mobile data, the phone should connect to the network. Are you using the phone via Wi-Fi or similar when the mobile data is off?

APN settings is correct otherwise it wont connect to Mobile Internet once I restart, right?
Ya, I am using only wifi when mobIle data is off. Today, I upgraded to latest version of Android lollipop. But even then, same issue prevails with the phone. 😔😔
Its really irritating now. Today I restarted my phone around 7 times in order to connect it to Mobile data. I have no idea about the issue and not getting a proper advice or resolution for the problem.

Thanks quester for the information and its working fine now. But I am facing another problem with updating Music (walkman) app and What's New App. It shows new updates are available for these two apps but while installing, message shows 'It cannot be installed'. I tried many times but the same error message is showing. Any idea what could be wrong?

I did that. In fact, when I checked the version that is already installed in my phone, mine is version 9.0.0.A.0.1 for Music (Walkman) App. I think its the latest update from Sony. But still why does it shows 'New Updates are available' for the same? Is there a new version available now?

Actually current Music version on my phone is 9.0.0.A.0.1 too, try clearing cache of your What's New:

- Go to Settings -> Apps -> All -> What's New -> Force Stop, Clear data and restart your phone.

If it doesn't fix, try "Uninstall Updates" from the same place.
