Hi. I just noticed that equalizer is only working with walkman app. It worked just fine in kitkat.

Could you elaborate more? what do you mean by "only working with walkman app"? are you saying that other music players equalizers aren't working? if so, contact the app developers as they have to address that bug.

I mean that the equalizer is not active when using other apps like youtube.

the equalizer its only for the walkman app, other apps have different settings. Google music has its own equalizer.

got my hands on a Z3 running 4.4.4, I can't hear the equalizer working on youtube but it does on walkman, any suggestions on how to test this further?

@uliwooly I Have a Z2, but it won't hurt to try this out

Find a youtube video and play it with Clear+ Audio off.
Then pause the video and turn it back on and listen for the difference. I have noticed it on the Z2 while running 4.4.4. This can only mean that the equalizer works across all applications. I also just tested a few preset equalizer setting, such as rock and jazz all on the same video on YouTube and I did notice the difference. You should check it out again

The equalizer can also work for 3:rd party apps but not all apps may use it. As you mentioned, some apps have their own equalizer for example.

I tried it here and i'm afraid YouTube doesn't seem to use it. To check that the equalizer is available for 3:rd party apps, try another app like Spotify or https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrtstudio.music

Works for spotify. But I would love to have system wide eq as a feature.

Noticed same problem with TuneIn Radio. Also headphone selector doesn't make any changes. At least that should work with any player, I think.
