I have a Z3 Dual and there's a bug in the way the Answering machine works.

And it's very easy to replicate.

If you have the answering machine ON -no matter what time you set for ir- and you pick up a call by lifting the device and taking it to your ear -gesture (PERSONALIZATION>Movements>Intelligent call) I use spanish so my translation could be wrong...- after the time period kicks in, the call will go silent and you will see an answering machine message in the Call UI. The other party won't hear you and you won't hear them, BUT THEY CAN'T RECORD A MESSAGE since the call was already answered by you with the gesture.

If instead of using the gesture you swipe the green button in the in call ui, the answering machine won't kick in.

It's like it doesn't realize that you have already answered with the gesture, if you disable the gesture or don't use it, there's no problem.

CAN YOU PLEASE FIX THIS!

This issue has been reported multiple times, and it will be fixed in future updates (as stated my one of Sony support representative):
