If that is right @uliwooly, it **bleep**. Wi-Fi turns itself back on after charging, you would expect Mobile data to follow the same behaviour. Wouldn't you?

Hello everyone,

Every time that my Z3c enters the low battery mode, mobile data is disabled as part of my settings. But when battery is charged without restarting the device, mobile data remains disabled until I manually reconnect.

Restarting the device does not work, only going into settings and reactivating the feature. This does not happen with Wi-Fi; it switches automatically off when battery is <20% and automatically back on when it is >20% or on the charger.

I don't really want to keep mobile data on when the battery is <20%.

Is there any solution to that?

My model is D5803 and firmware is 23.1.A.1.28

Thank you!

Hi Guys,

I have just done some testing and it seems that Mobile data stays off even when the handset has reached full charge. So this must be turned back on manually.

I will do some further testing to clarify however.

It'll be nice to be able to customize that option, let's say it'll disable the data at 20% it'll be great to enable the data once we reached a preset %

I have found that if Wifi is not turned on and only Data is, once you hit the Low power parameters the data will turn off as normal, and once you connect the charger it will turn back on.

So as long as Wifi is off or your Wifi is on but you are not in an area that has Wifi, Data will turn back on as normal.

So if I'm home and within coverage of my WiFi network and I reach low power state both networks will turn off. Then when I reconnect charger WiFi will be back on and data left off?

I think it wasn't working that way under 4.4.4...?

Well, I tried disabling Wi-Fi before charging the handset and then found that yes, Mobile Data is not switched off, but Wi-Fi remains off, so I had to go back to settings and connect Wi-Fi.

:smileyquestion:Which makes me wonder what do I want to switch on after my handset has reached the "Low battery mode".

So I guess we will have to wait for an update of Lollipop if the developers are aware of the issue, or even if they consider it as an issue. @uliwooly mentioned that it was supposed to be this way...
