z3 actual call volume after lollipop upgrade.

since my phone upgraded to lollipop the other day my phone speakers actual call volume is so quiet I can't hear anybody, making my phone uaeless to receive calls, yes the side volume is on full . Yet if I play an Mp3 its as loud ad it use to be via kitkat, notifications are ok too as well as the ringtone. Its just the actual call volume which isnow useless unless you're in a month sound proof room.

Anyone know how to fix or if I can roll back to kitkat.

Headset volune and miceophone earphones are ok. Just using the z3 upto your ear totally useless.

I loved z3 under kitkat.

@foom2 look at www.xperiablog.net for guide how to do that.Also you click on the LOLLIPOP firmware for your region or carrier on xperiafirm and the KitKat firmware appears underneath in the top right hand corner

Where do you click on the lollipop firmware? Is this you confirming thay its not an issue but just a so called feature?

Had a look on that website cant find any fiemware for the 2014 z3 or a guide to downgrade?

I have exactly the same problem! When I go to choose a Ringtone in settings it's so loud abs audible, bit after setting the Ringtone when I recieve a call it's pathetic, very very low.please fix this bug, I don't know what was so thinking when they screwed up the basic function of the phone which is communication.

Do the experts think this problem is a feature or bug worth waiting for? Would rooting my lollipop and editing a settings xml file fix the issue, like the ringtone and master volume tweak? my phone is not locked to a provider and I bought the phone outright so not in a contract.

low ear speaker volume

I upgraded to lollipop and I believe it has caused the volumes on the phone to become quiet compared to how they used to be.

When on a call I can't hear the caller very well and if travelling in a car as a passenger it is impossible to hear the caller speaking above the road noise.

When watching a film the sound balance is heavily towards the bottom speaker where before it was fairly even or at least not as noticeable. The ring tone quality also sounds poor.

I nearly sent my phone back for repair however the more I read, the more it seems to be a result of the latest android update.

Has anyone else come across this issue?

Sony, when is the update due to fix this?

Oh and I have also used pc companion to erase and reinstall the phone incase the lollipop update had caused issues by overlaying over the top of kit kat when it rolled out.

The acual call volume is very low. The internal speakers seem to be very low and the voice is barely audible. I have checked all the settings and turned the volume to max and still no improvement. Please help.

Does Sony ever listen to their customers, i resolved this by rooting my phone with the new build 23.1.A.1.28 and adding in an edited mixer_paths.xml file that increases the volume.

Problem is that you have to make a new image every time sony update... But heck its made my phone usefull again as an errrrrrr phone..... Lol.
