wifi problem after lollipop update

Is anyone else having problems with their wifi connection after updating to lollipop. Mine was working fine before update. Was getting around 35mbps download on ookla speed test when connected to my home fibre broadband before update but now not even hitting 1mbps after update. Keeps buffering when watching vids. Checked home broadband speed on pc and getting 34mbps so its not my Internet causing problem. Would appreciate any ideas. Thanks.Using xperia z3 D6603.

Im in safe mode now. Just tried a vid on youtube and is still lagging. Seems to buffer every few seconds. Would be greatful for any other ideas.

Do you have any antivirus, battery apps?

do you have auto backup photos/videos? or auto update apps enable?

I've got avg antivirus that came with phone and i think photo backup is on.

Alternatives on How to backup Xperias

Backed up phone using PC companion and tried using repair. Got stuck on reinstalling software. When inserting USB and pressing volume down on device my computer wasn't recognising my phone being plugged in. Was getting the light on device flash red then green but nothing was happening on pc so gave up on that after couple tries, done factory reset and restored from back up on PC. WiFi working good now. Thanks for the help uliwooly and Phy. Keep up the good work guys.

Hi !

I am a sony xperia z1 user. before updating to lollipop there were no issues with my phones wifi but after updating it to lollipop, my mobiles wifi is behaving very strangely. when i switch-on wifi it works fine but when i switch it off, wifi keeps on connecting and disconnecting with the saved networks and my mobile keeps on heating up.

somebody plz help me out ????

I experienced wifi connection problem on my xperia Z after lollipop update.
The problem was resolved after a factory reset.
