How to clear recent apps list?

How come that I can do this on my z3c tablet but not on my z3c phone? They both run the exact same Android version 5.0.2

Am I missing something here, or did Sony forget to add it?

I need this feature because I hate how long this list gets (totally ruining the purpose of it), and it's not even cleared after a reboot of my phone.

Thanks for your reply. So we can only hope Sony will bring back this feature in a future update, like they promised for the large Z3?

Close all is present on 23.1.A.28 on Z3C smartphone. It was missing in previous release (all running 5.0.2).
