Notification light colours

What do each of the notification light colours mean? I couldn't find this in the manual and have deduced some eg blue light means Facebook notifiation.

That's actually a rather good question lol.

Text messages purple, Facebook messages are blue, Green is charged over 90%, red is low battery (im sure it has other uses too)

When I use ventriloid app it lights up green to tell me i've connected.

That's all i've noticed, I use stamina mode so I don't get the notification lights

What colour the notification has can be controlled by the app that's giving it. By default you have green for messages and missed calls while Facebook app uses blue but if you for example install Handcent SMS you can select another colour for SMS.

I don't know of any list that covers all apps i'm afraid.

Hi there

since Android 4.2.2 was installed on the phone the LED light colour is white for both texts and emails.

Previously it flashed green for emails and white for texts.

is there any way to reset the LED colours back to the way they were?

IMO, u will be better off using an app to set the colour of the notifications.

This is what i recommend:

1) Disable LED pulse notifications in your settings menu.

2) Get this free Illumination Bar Notification app from Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rundgong.illuminationcontrol . The nice thing about this app is that it works even in Stamina Mode

3) Configure whatever notification colour (if u get the pro version) for any app u desire.

that app does not work in my experia Z

just tried it with every setting available and my LED would not light up when test button is pressed

maybe you could share how you got it to work and what settings you used

4.2.2 here BTW

We may be using different phones (i'm using ZL with 4.2.2) but it should work on the Z as well. In the settings menu for Illumination Bar under Select Device, u need to choose Xperia U/J. Hope it helps.

I cannot find any place to turn off this silly blue lights.

And I cannot find a place to delete the facebook app on the phone.

...I wish my simple Sony-Ericsson T610 back....:smileylaugh:

I just turned mine off by going to Settings, then Notifications, then clicking the cog wheel in the top right and moving the switch for notification light.

My sony xperia z, actually this is my 2nd Sony xperia phone. They both flashing green when full bat., Red for low bat, and pink if phone is in danger. Right sony? Its a sign that my phone need to be replace isnt it?
