Sony Z3C email problem - private (unsigned) certificate not accepted

Hello all, i just got this phone and wanted to setup my private e-mail which used on my old htc for about 2 years now.

I have my own server setup and private domain and i use imaps (port 993) and smtps (port 465) and i have my own certificate which is NOT registered with any online authority.

So i try to use the default email client present on the z3c phone and it lets me configure imaps but then i configure smtps with SSL/TLS (accept all certificates) i get an error that states connection to the server was refused, ROOT CERTIFICATE IS INVALID and no way to go further.

So again, my certificate is not registed with any online authority but on my HTC phone i got a warning and then it still procedeed further in order to use my e-mail.

Any ideeas how to fix this, i'd hate to install another e-mail client.

Found the problem, i chose the wrong setting ssl/tls ... actually in my case was STARTTLS so my bad
