Z2 dont start and boot loop SE screen

Dear All,

It has been now 4 months i have this Z2, unitl now everything was working fine, last day the battery drained completely, 0% and it got off. after some time i connected the phone to wall charger using original charger and cable , the screen boots and sony xperia flash and then it get off and then again keeps boot loop,

The RED led comes on and then off , and screen flash SE and keeps looping... i tried making power off holding UP + power nothing works.

i tried connecting to PCC but it also doesnt detect and keep searching phone. i tried repairing using PCC but it doesnt detect phone. i tried holding DOWN volume during power on but green led doesnt come ...

when i press UP + power on , Blue LED comes but nothing happens.

dont know wht has happened, kindly suggest me what to do.. im unable to use the phone or powere on or im not able to do anything.

Connect the phone to a wall charger for two hours, press and hold power and volume up for ten seconds, let it charge for two to three hours then repair it with PCC

Hi Uliwooly,

i tried connecting the phone to wall charger , but when i did hold power and volume up for ten seconds, the RED started blinking for 1 min then again automatically the screen gets ON with sony xperia message flash and then again re-loop.

but when i connect it to PC , screen doesnot get on ,but RED led gets on then green blinks then again red gets off and then loop.... screen doenst get on

Screen gets on only when i connect to wall outlet.

Try performing a system repair using Pc Companion as this will often fix issues - This will factory reset your phone

Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the onscreen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process

If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

Reading your reply I think you misunderstood the instructions - Your phone at no point should be powered on - You hold volume down and connect the USB cable when prompted as per the guide above

I started PC companion without connectiong the phone, then when it prompts to connect, before connecting i pressed Vol UP + power on button for 10 secs, it doesnt vibrate,

then i connect the phone to USB PC while continously pressing Vol down ,... nothing happens, PCC keeps searching my phone... and RED led comes ON and thn green blinks then gets off , then again RED comes on ...loop...

phone keeps restartings, RED led gets on, thne green blinks,then no led,... then again RED led gets on...loops....neithier it charges,neither it gets off,nothing happens.

Sounds like you have a battery issue - you could try leaving it to charge for a good few hours or you will need to either return your device to the place of purchase or contact Xperia care http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/

I tried charging the phone through original charger and cable via socket, but the problem is screen keeps flashing every 2 sec on and off, with SE logo splash . i think i cannot charge it on the wall socket.

But when i connect the phone to PC USB, screen doesnot splash... only RED led keeps looping.

i think i need to go to the service center, i still have valid warranty. i purchased through one of the dealer not directly from sony. So shall i contact service dealer or can i visit directly Sony service center.???

Any suggestions ???

Depends on how long you have had it but for me in the UK I'd return it back to the place of purchase and get them to deal with it as my contract of sale is not with Sony - The store will have a contract of sale with Sony and when the store accepts it they will, well here in the UK check the device and give you a certificate noting any defects etc so anymore damage incurred is not down to you but the store

Hi ,

I went and gave the phone to the dealer , he says there is moisture inside phone, and cannot be covered under his dealer warranty. 1 month before i used this phone in pool water to take pics, but it was working, i didnt have any issue, but dealer says there is water inside.

However, phone was returned back to me, then i went to service center, they opened the phone and just he removed the battery and connected back. screen started and then gave a message please connect the phone to PC, software update failed.

Then i connected the phone to PC companion, made repair phone, all went well and now the phone is working good.

i have noticed now that battery is draining little bit faster. i mean when i kept the phone in 96% charged, airplane mode, no wifi, kept it unused for full night and morning i noticed battery has 86%, almost 10% drained without any use. i dont know it is normal, but it is draining so fast even when phone is in airplane mode, no wifi, .....

However, Now the phone is working ....Thanks to all.

assalam.o.alaikum janab mra mobile sony charging pr bhi display show nhi kr rha hai or ma panel bhi check kia hai or battery bhi change ki hai or agr b attery inkal kr charging pr lagata ho to display show kr or agr battery lga kr power ka button press krta ho to red light show krta hai

If you do not show the display of the mobile phone or charging of the mobile phone, you can check whether the battery is changed or if you are using the charger at the time of charging, show kr or agr battery will be displayed. Press the power button to show the red light.
