You might want to enter the APN settings manually, also contact your network/carrier about this issue.

settings > more > mobile networks > access point names > menu > add new

Hello, I've been having this problem for over a month now. Basically when going between WiFI to Mobile Network my phone does not want to transmit data over mobile. When I leave my house in the morning, for example, my phone shows full bars but no network services work, not even phone or messaging. I have factory reset my phone, paid $10 for a new sim card, downloaded network settings multiple times, and all of the above solve the issue temporarily (I believe it's just rebooting the network each time that actually fixes the issue), but this does not fix the issue all the time. Sometimes I need to leave the phone off for a long period, and then restart in order for the network to reconnect. I've searched the forums, and all over the web and haven't found a solution, or another person with my exact problem. Please let me know if this is an ongoing issue with other people - if so how to fix it - or if my phone has a component that is maybe overheating, or not working correctly (related to the GSM radio perhaps) and causing the issue.

Thank you

My ZL was doing the same thing. I found the solution on the XDA forum. Under settings, go to wireless & networks > mobile networks > acess point names, mine is t-mobile, select that. Select APN protocol and change from IPv6 to IPv4.

Hope this works for you as well. .

My Xperia z on a Vodafone network does this, too. The apn setting has always been IPv4, though. Besides this setting, only APN-type and MCC/MNC are filled in. Will check if the APN-type setting (default, supl) it's related.

Thanks for the response. I'll try this and let you know if it solves the problem. The longest I've gone is a few days without issue, if by the end of the week I'm still happy I'll let you all know!

After a week and the ipv6 change absolutely worked. Why ipv6 would be incompatible? Or if this will ever affect viewing an ipv6 site? Probably not but glad this fixed the issue. Knocking on wood
