    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Apologies if it is considered bad form to resurrect this thread, but my phone only just now started to exhibit this exact behaviour.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;There were some updates for it today, and this atsrted after those had installed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have read the earlier replies here and have attempted the suggestions, but it's still happening.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is there some way we can see what apps, if any, have access to the call state, and maybe see if it's one of those that do it??&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;I suggest that you go to Settings &amp;gt; Apps &amp;gt; The tab "All" &amp;gt; InCallUI &amp;gt; Clear cache. Go back to the tab "All" and look for the app "Phone" &amp;gt; Clear data. Restart the phone and try again to see if same thing occurs.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;You may need to perform a software repair on the device.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Also make sure to backup the information on the device using PC Companion.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;1. Download the PC Companion software from&lt;SPAN class="Apple-converted-space"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A href="http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/pc-companion/" target="_self" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"&gt;PC Companion&lt;/A&gt;&lt;SPAN class="Apple-converted-space"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;and install it on your PC.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;2. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;3. Phone Software Update.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;4. Start.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;5. Repair Phone&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;6. Continue&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;7. Accept data removal&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;8. Next&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;9. Wait for prepare&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;10. Select Phone&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;11. Follow the connection steps&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

I did everything you say and I know, but the problem remain the same. From what I saw, this KItKat have problems from his launcher. I will try to sell it and to buy another phone, better I hope. Not a "flagship" phone, and, very important, not a SONY.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I daily check for a update on the phone to fix this but alas...       <description>&lt;P&gt;I did the same.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Reloading the system software did nothing to help with he situation. As it stands I am unable to accept calls with the phone.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The InCallUI app cache cannot be cleared, and I believe this is part of the problem.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
