Notification Sounds are low

Over all the sound on the z3 is good. It's loud when turn up the volume on music and videos but for some reason the notifications tone is lower than when I select it to preview. I did check the audio settings and made sure the notification Sounds are at max. The clear audio etc. And it's seems like it's just a few notches to low. Anyone notice this.

If you are in the sound settings and are previewing the tones I can tell they are much louder but when I choose one and save it as my tone it's lower in volume.

This might be a dumb suggestion but

settings > sound > volumes > is the ringtone/notifications 100%?

Perhaps the preview sound (music, movies,etc) seems a lot louder bc the sound come from both speakers, and when you get a notification its only through the loud speaker.

I tested it both on the preview and actually messages by sending sms to myself. I covered the bottom speaker and then I covered the top. They both give off sound but it's fact that the preview seems to be louder than the actual notification.

Sadly there is no solution for this. I descovered im not the only one with this problem, apparently it was and still is a problem on the Z2.

No fix. Xperia Care is useless. We will have to wait for Sony to relaese an update thats if they even know this problem exsists. They have a track record of ignoring vital bugs and flaws in thier xperia phones. Good phone. Im just glad that the touch screen, proxmitiy sensor etc are a thing of the past with the Z3.

i have the same problem even if notification sounds are set up on 100 %. hope someone from sony developer department read this and fix it asap.

I raise the ringtone to max plus vibration but still missing many calls,, I was on htc it has 2 large speakers plus strong vibration,, this is a critical defect causes loss of emergency and important calls

there is one unwritten rule: "xperia care doesnt care" and they dont know anything, just say u to give phone in service, or reinstall it with PCC

Hello Sony,

I must say that I am very disappointed with the new Sony Xperia Z3 D6603. The notification and ring volumes are so low that it is almost impossible to hear them. That is especially true when the phone is in my pocket. Is there no way to fix this problem? I have tried other solutions with third-party apps, but nothing helps. Please help with this problem.

Try downloading the Nexus ringtones from the play store. I can hear my ringtones and notification tones from the bedroom when the phone is downstairs in living room

I got my new Z3 and can't use it as a phone. ALL volumes are low, and other side can't hear me either. Any idea how to solve???

The ranigtone from the speakers during calling very low..what is the problem?

Seeing that others are having trouble with sound notification being very quiet I'm experiencing the same thing on lollipop have called Sony to explain the situation but nothing as of yet but do hope they sort as pointless having two speakers if can not hear a call, after all this is a phone.
