SD Card issue

I woke this morning to find a notification saying it was safe to remove the sd card. Firs off I didn't unmount it.

So I took it out and replaced it. Then got a message saying "sd card damaged. Try reformatting"

this didn't work either.

So I restarted the phone. Now it refuses to recognise the presence of a card at all?

anyone know what to do?

it sounds like it has failed - what make is it ?

as a last resort before sending it back you could try the sd format utility for PC, a link was posted on another sd thread here

I wouldn't hold my breath though as it sonds like it failed

Yes I tried to format it in my Mac but the computer won't recognise the card so it's going back.
