Hi everyone

sorry, i rather feel like a an imbecile. Son played around the pass lock and changed it. I have attempted to access the phone without success. I have seen few option around but cant get my head around it.

i was convinced pc companion is the safe option, however, i am rather desperate to get this phone up running.

When i hook y phone to the pc , the software pc companion says: phone / tablet not connected. please make sure phone pin and screen lock is entered. Funny enough that is the main isue i intend to resolve in the first place. Guys please suggest. FLash tool is recomended and where to get a safe file etc..

You need to perform a system repair - This will factory reset your phone

Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the onscreen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process

If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

i am not completely sure whether PCC is ot working on my windows 7 or something aint right.
I followed your guide but still not success.

While pressing Power and volume up , should i get vibration? however i dont, following that i connected it to the pc holding volume down but software didn't recognized the phone.

You need to check via Device manager that your Flash mode driver is installed - So open device manager and making sure your phone is fully switched off hold volume down and connect your USB cable - You should see a new device detected and the driver should auto install or you may need to right click this missing driver and then select update driver and choose C: drive to scan for the driver

Hi mate, ur a legend but computer fails to update nor to identify any driver in the system. Although it clearly indicates that the driver for S1 service is missing. what would you suggest next option pal?

With sincerer apology before hands, again! Is there any other possible way of resolving the driver issue? in th 5th attempt pc finally recognized it thou, didn install the drivers for it. Sorry guys but i am lost and need desperate alternatives.

Download this here (Thanks to DooMLoRD) Then as above in device manager and see if the driver is installed and no there is no other way - There is but this is the easiest but the other way you would still need the driver installed

mate , you are the man.

finally, after the whole day going mad it updates the phone thank to you. HOWEEVR, NOW I ONLY HAVE 2 silly options. which , no of them works.....( support zone new and media..) and when i press start, pop up message ..... @#$% ..what now brother??

in other word, the software processes it and updates. Click finish then i go for the next step which , i believe is fix my phone or somthing...support zone new! then start . Not working!!!

I click in Support zone new! then start with button held down (The application can not be installed. Try again later) message keeps popping up. What is this anyways? losing my mind here brother...Help!!!

finally i took on board the instructions given by you. So, i decided to download an older virsion of PCC which made it update to the newer version imminently, that way all necessary files might have been updated as well. After that followed the steps , smooth like butter . DONE!! thanks buddy!

i have a sony xperia z1 bootloder is locked.yesterday i changed my patter lock but seems like ii made a mistake now i dont know the right pattern.and i cant use foggten pattern because my data connection and wifi is off .i tried everything in internet but nothing is workout for me .and i cant connect it to the pc companian because debuuging mode is not on.what i can do ?Thank you
