topic Volume down key is not working in Z Series

Hello everyone! I recently washed my Xperia Z1 with tap water for less than 10 seconds, I quickly wipe my phone after washing it. I definitely sure that all the flaps were shut tight before running it through the tap water. Then I realised that there were water droplets inside the camera lens and the flash. I turned off the phone, open all the flaps (the flaps were all white) and left it to dry overnight. The next morning I found out that the water droplets were gone but in the next hour, my volume down key was not working. Is there any work around before I send my Z1 to Sony for a repair? Is water really entered my phone?

I'm sorry to hear that.
Unfortunately, if water has entered the phone it may have damaged some components. I suggest that visit nearest service center to have your phone examine by a technician.
