Android OS?

Hello, I bought a preowned Xperia Z2 and saw that it had been rooted with with some Carbon something, I'm not sure. Basically, I tried to remove it and have ended up removing the operating system I believe as when I go to turn the phone on the Sony screen comes on and it just stays on that? Could anyone please help me, I'm desperate and quite worried. Thanks a lot!

A long shot but try to use PCC and see if that does it, if not then probably flashtool

Thanks a lot! Will hopefully be able to sort it with that, will those steps work even though I have no current OS? Also, is there a Z2 firmwire I can download at all? Just there's every one but the Z2?

When I go to select phone to flash it just comes up with old phone the X10, and not the Z2? How do I get the Z2 to show up mate?

Those are just the instructions, as long as you download the Z2 ftf file you will be ok

Okay, so I went to flashmode, held the back button whilst putting USB cable in and nothing happened bar the screen turning on, and it's now stuck on the Sony screen like it always does now. Then on Flashtool screen it says:

13/056/2014 01:56:07 - INFO - Device connected with USB debugging off
13/056/2014 01:56:07 - INFO - For 2011 devices line, be sure you are not in MTP mode
13/059/2014 01:59:16 - INFO - Flash canceled

and it still says 'waiting for flash mode' as if I've not just entered flash mode, yet my phone went to turn on? So does the phone have to actually fully turn on to be in flash mode? Just my phone is buggered and when I go to turn it on it stays stuck on the Sony screen

flashmode: turn off the phone > press and hold volume down then connect the usb cable

Okay, so it went to install driver software, is that meant to happen? It then claimed the phone was disconnected yet it's still plugged in

You can download flashtool here and

you can download firmware in here you have to select your country version OK and download it

then install flashtool and go disk c>>flashtool>>drivers>>and install your mobile drivers and please move your download ftf file into c>>flashtool>>firmware and

next you can open your flashtool and select your ftf in there

next untick without apps

then select flash and wait until see the conection your 4n ok. next turn off your mobile and connect it to PC in press and hold volume down button then wait until flash and enjoy

Thank you very much for the help, I've done all of that but I'm now just having problem connecting to Flashmode. I waited for the on screen instructions to come up then I've held the volume down button and inserted USB and help it for up to 10 seconds to see if anythng haven;t but nothing is happening?

Okay, I got the phone into flash mode but it then comes up saying this ' Processing of loader.sin finished with errors'?

I unlocked the bootloader and it started flashing but then it ended with this:

13/030/2014 13:30:48 - ERROR - Processing of system.sin finished with errors.
13/030/2014 13:30:48 - INFO - Ending flash session
13/030/2014 13:30:48 - ERROR - ERR_SEVERITY="MINOR";ERR_CODE="0017";ERR_DYNAMIC="8009001C";

and my phone just turned on saying 'this phone software update failed'

ithink thats mean your 4n doesnt get the drivers wait until drivers installand flash again

What is a 4N? Also, I've tried many times today, installing these drivers and then after tried flashing my phone but that same error shows up and the phone doesn't flash

I just tried a different FTF file and my phone is fully flashed and working! Thank you so much to everyone who helped as without your help this would not have happened! I'm absolutely over the moon, you guys have all made my day. Thank you so much!!!
