Z Ultra C6802 can't update to Android 4.4.4.

I'm feeling really frustrated and cheated after geting BRAZEN, EVASIVE , MISLEADING & UNTRUTHFUL REPLIES from NONE OTHER THAN the Sony India Experia Smartphones Customer Care---upon my consulting them only yesterday about the Continued Failure of Updating to Android 4.4.4 via PC Companion/Mac Bridge.

The Varied reasons/excuses given by Sony to me yesterday really make me wonder as to whether the Z Ultra C6802 CAN EVER UPDATE TO ANDROID 4.4.4 AT ALL.

But still, with a ray of hope in mind, I request for the third time to please reply whether anybody in India, , IN FACT, been able to update the Firmware Build to 14.4.A.0.108---at least by some stroke of Good Luck at all in the world.

The one and only message that I've been getting is that " My Phone is already updated with the latest Software."

Common sense it is, that how do all of other Experia Mid-range and High-end Smartphones like the Z Ultra in India and even abroad have already been able to Update to Android 4.4.4, except the Goddamned C6802, even UNTIL THIS MOMENT ?

Wonder what is really ailing whom, especially those concerned with the said Update of C6802 Z Ultra in India, to prevent its EFFECTIVE EXECUTION.

This is a user support forum

To add Sony India or your networks need to authorise the firmware so this may not be a Sony issue but the networks themselves

Thommo no one in India has got the updated firmware..we are cheated and Sony is biased on Indians by not rolling the 4.4.4 update for indian c6802 model...shame on Sony..

Sony has indeed cheated all the Unfortunate and Innocent buyers of the Z Ultra C6802 in India, by withholding the Android 4.4.4 Update, only to promote sales of its recently launched handsets.
It's crystal clear now.
Really, shame on Sony!

Sony email support is pathetic. They never read what customers say and reply like a robot. Their service centres are cheats!!

BTW no 4.4.4 update for my C6802 either. Sony **bleep**!!

Rigt said manigma..they have standard replies in their desktops which they vopy paste and send to every 1 asking questions..Sony support start using ur brain.. I hope god has given u 1...we are asking about 4.4.4 update for sony xperia z ultra and u guys say that it depends upon country and carrier...it is no where rolled in india till date...stop fooling people...who so ever come across this post.. Please advise ur frnds and family members NOT TO BUY SONY MOBILES..

hy guys i baught z ultra few days ago till now z ultra c6802 not got 4.4.4
even my old xperia zr was running on 4.4.4 but z ultra is far better than zr. its not fair
sony should take care about thair flagship models

I bought Sony Xperia Z ultra and immediately bought 64 Gb class 10 micro SD Card so that I can transfer my apps into micro SD Card as every site mentioning that Android 4.4.4 update is released for the same but i stucked to Android 4.4.2 only. And writing so much mails and calling sony support team number of times but those people even don't knowbabout Android latest versions and even didn't try to understand problem which is not expected.

And now sony is misguiding us by adverstising android lollipop update (no specific time frame mentioned) will roll out soon how can I trust sony. This is bull**bleep** and total marketing crap.

This is my second sony device after sony xperia z1 and this is last one.

Sony is busy in launching new flagship devices after every six month with same design and slightly updated hardware and not paying attention on improving cutomer experience by updating software or to do some thing innovative.

Sony services are just like karbonn service centre once you bought device than it is your problem.

Don't buy sony mobiles phones as it **bleep** lot of freezing even after best hardware configurations.

1) Hi, We will update you soon once we have any information on the same. Stay glued for the updates.

2) Hi , Android 4.4.4 is currently undergoing a gradual roll out. Software updates are released at different times depending on operator and/or country and not all handsets receive the update at the same time. Therefore, we cannot give you an exact date for when a specific update will be available for your device. Notifications are sent to your device when new software is available so I would advise waiting for that notification. - Amy
