Just checked on my Z1,when you are at a video,tap on the 3 dots (settings),tap on the wheel and there you should have the resolution.

Does the video support 1080?You know,some stop at 720p.

i tested the video with my moms note 3 and not only one video...in their description they stated they are in full hd(1080p) and the note had that option, but my z1 doesn't have at any video that option

Try settings-apps-all-youtube,force stop and clear data.Retry.

I have checked on my Z1 like I told you,no problem.Can you tell what version of YT do you have? I have 5.7.41.

Really don't know,cannot figure out which is the problem.But do 1080p videos show up?Can you view any videos in Full HD?

i can if i enter google chrome and choose desktop mode, from there its like on the pc, but sometimes it won't play and changes the desktop player with the one from the mobile version, but when it starts to play in 1080 the sound and video are very good.

xperia z1 youtube problems

From it her finalizes actulizacion from software to 14.4.a.0.108 of my sony xperia z1 ... I noticed that in youtube it does not leave me to reproduce videoes in 1080 .... that can be .. because the chamera leaves me to record in full hd and the videos that I have inside the cellular one it leaves me to see them...

odd thing or a coincidence...after chainging my standard theme i noticed i got the 1080 rezolution in youtube app...can anybody that doesn't have the 1080 rezolution in youtube check it again and after that change your theme with another xperia theme from google play and see if you got the option? thanks

I have good news for you. I changed my theme as well to see if it would bring back the 1080 option on youtube and it worked. The 1080p option is back and it works great. I don't understand how changing the theme fixed it though?

Unfortunately the problem is back. I tried changing the theme again but the 1080p option does not come back.

I applied a downloaded theme and it still didn't fix it.
