Xperia Z not starting..! Completely Dead.!

Hi,

I bought my Xperia Z on March 28 and today the phone is completely dead..! Charge in the phone is 100%, I tried connecting to PC and it wasn't detected..! Tried Fore Restart (Hold Power button and Volume Up for 5-10secs), even then no luck..! A screen with "Sony" appears and thats it, phone again goes off. ! I contacted the Sony Xperia Support, they asked me todo "Repair my phone" using PC Companion software but no luck..! Very disappointed with Sony after seeing my brand new phone going conmpletely dead..!

I am sure many would have faced this issue. Why it happen like that ? Any fixes available ? Will my phone be replaced ?

Try repairing it via sony update service

If it still doesnt work take it backto service center and they will replace it

and please stop making new threads about the same topic use the search option there are already a lot of threads about this

I tried updating via Update Service and PC Companion, but nothing helped..! Will give it to Service center tomo morning.. !

Lets see wat they say.!

The phone should vibrate three times when you press vol+ and power button for about 10 secs.

then you can switch it in again by pressing the power button for a short while.

You can repair the phone when it's shut off.

Repair will delete user data.

Try connecting it to a computer when it's off. It should start to charge then (tou should se a sony logo and a big battery for a few seconds.. You should also be able to do the software repair when it's off.

if PCC repair didn't work then you need to return it under warranty

Finally.. My Xperia Z is Up & Running.!!!

Below is the steps i followed to fix the problem:

1. Download and Install PC Companion or Sony Update Service Software on your system. (For me PC Companion dint work, so installed Update Service software & it worked..)

2. Switch off the phone and connect the phone to your system.

3. In PC Companion, goto Support Zone ---> Update Phone Software ---> Click on "Repair my phone" link, This would download 750MB of software and later on install it on the phone.

4. In Sony Update Service, select the Xperia Z model and after this it automatically downloads software and installs it on the device.

5. After the installation ALL THE DATA STORED ON THE PHONE WAS DELETED.

My advice would be to store all the important data in SD card or keep taking back-up regularly, since we can get this problem anytime..!!

THE PHONE IS COMPLETELY DEAD AND OUT OF WARRANTY TRIED EVERYTHING ELSE.... CAN ANY ONE HELP

i tried the procedure that you were said. but after doing all steps my phone is still dead. red led doing sometime on and off . tell me another procedure. or it is a hardware fault? my phone screen was black but still i was receving msgs and phone calls but after force shut down it is not turning on again. sorry for my poor english

i tried your procedure but there is an error comming that you device had already modified software that cannot be updated and an error came can you please help me through
