Update for Xperia Z1 failed

Hello everyone,

While trying to update 14.3.A.0.681 Android version: Google Android 4.4 (Kitkat) for Xperia Z1.

Even I'm trying charge the unit, after Sony logo, it keep on flashing following message:

"The software update failed make sure your phone is connected to computer and try again."

I did referred following thread:

With above message, will unit charge, if charged. So that I can follow the steps mention above thread.

That's odd, disable your antivirus and/or firewall on your computer and then try again with either PCC or SUS

Update Service (SUS)

Unfortunately, didn't help me.:smileycry:

PCC not helping.

In SUS, I'm getting following error.

Is there any possibility that my phone is encrypted, that why I'm facing this issue?

Or this is due battery charge is less then 60%?

I can't see the picture, but you should charge your phone for 30-45 minutes and try again

Yes,uli is right.Charge it to at least 60-70%.

It happened to my phone when i was updating to 14.2.A.1.136 the only way for my phone to work again was to use Sony Update Service

http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/update-service/

it will restart the upgrade proces and the phone will wrok again

Unfortunately, PCC or SUS is not helping me. In both tool I'm getting same error,update unsuccessful. Even after charging battery for 3 hours.

Any more suggestion.

Probably they are some problems with either sony servers or your PC.Can you try on another computer?
