Does anyone know how to create folders in the new album so I can organise my pics and also how to turn off the slide show at the top of the album home screen

You cannot make folders by default,you need a 3rd party app.

My daydream is off its never been on..with the new album update I go in and it has a continuous slide show at top of screen and all the photos below. It's a seperate thing to the full screen sensslide option in thr album settings.

I think that it is related to the album settings.Maybe sens me slideshow.

Does this happen if you go to your albums?I cannot find any settings for it,only for movies you are able to change the video playback behind.

It's the album home screen. It's a spilt screen slide show at top photos at bottom. I will go into movies and see what happens??

Mark 1 image as favourite and then restart the app. The top slideshow is supposed to display the images marked as favourites. If none are marked as favourite, The the app will just use random images from all the images on your phone. Having one image as favourite will display just that 1 image and will not create a slideshow

Indeed you might be right,Thommo.I have checked that out and giving that I had no favourites,they did not show up.

Hi,

this a big "Minus point" in usability for Sony album app!

Do you have a sugestion of a 3rd party app that allow me to create folders to organize the pictures without having to upload them (like playmemories does)?

Ive also been searching the best third party app to do that and in my case due to the number of pics and videos, they are in my SD card... so basically im f***ked thanks to kitkat.

I am using File Commander which is not very userfriendly for this activity. ES Explorer would be perfect because you see miniatures of the files/pictures, but it is not allowed to write on the SD card I dont want to root my phone.

I am looking forward for Lollipop that should allow bit more SD card access somehow, otherwise what's the point of the SD card if you need to connect the phone to your PC/MAC to manage its content???

If anyone has a better way Im listening!

have you tried QuickPic app, as per developer he has been able to create folder on some android with v4.4. For folder wise management its a nice app, and even sony select portion in playstore recommend it!! may be it help you to create folder and move pics and videos.
