xperia z Problem after update

since the update i recieved for the android jelly bean yesterday i cant use the Apps tab in the Settings. when i try to open any app settings in the list the phone freezes and i have to press and held the power button until the phone resets. after it boots up again i get a message saying that i might have to reformat the sd card! but i can still access my pics and apps no problem.

Apologies but these issues doesn't seem to have anything to do with my thread. your issues sound like there maybe somthing wrong with the wireless side of your phone. the issue with my phone is something to do with the firmware causing the phone to crash

just tried to access the settings for an app again, this time in safe mode, but the issue remains

It sounds like there was a problem in loading the firmware when you ran the update. With this being the case I would advise running a repair to reload the firmware:

1. Download the PC Companion software from http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/
and install it on your PC.
2. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
3. Phone Software Update.
4. Start.
5. Repair Phone
6. Continue
7. Accept data removal
8. Next
9. Wait for prepare
10. Select Phone
11. Follow the connection steps

i have restored my phone using the above instructions. but now im having issues with google play lol.
