Camera and ISO

Hello,
on Sony mobile page I found the information that camera offers ISO 6400, unfortunately I idn't find it in manual mode. When set to 8MPx the highest ISO value I can choose is 3200. Where can I find 6400? Am I missing something?

It can be useful in dark environment.

I only have highest ISO 3200 too, I don't think this phone has 6400, where did you find the info? BTW, I really enjoy Z1 in the low light condition, use night SCN mode, really good.

Sadly, ISO 6400 is only available on Superior Auto mode. I tried it by capturing a very low light shot.

I would not try to push beyond 800 ISO unless you want an oil painting. The max open shutter time for the Z1 is 0.8s. Night scene modes are the only way i'm aware of to set this slow a shutter speed, unless we get a way to set it manually.

Use a low ISO with a long shutter time and you will get a far better photo.

As I thought it was an auto setting, I agree, its not wise to push ISO so much unless you don't care about noise

What do you mean by "long shutter time"?
How to achieve it?

And I understand that in bright , sunny conditions the iso should be low and in very dark it should be higher, right?

The pictures shown in this page are absolutely not from z1.

It is impossible to take such pictures from z1 with so much clarity especially when sun is in the background.In reality everything in front becomes dark.

There is also so much haziness in both pictures and videos taken by z1 no matter what mode you select.Also when you zoom photos you get broken pixels,it is not smooth.I don't think Sony is selling what they are marketing.

Z1 really needs a big software boost considering it has got such massive hardware configuration.

Is there something Sony is planning for Z1,please reply.
