Backup problems with PC companion

I am trying to backup my xperia z1 with PC companion but it keeps failing the problem is with the photos file as when I don't tick the photos box everything else backs up fine.

Is there any other way to backup my photos onto my PC?

Just copy them from your phone memory,it is easier.You are sure you saved them that way.

Which file folder should they be in? cannot find them in pictures.

DCIM-100ANDRO.The backup is usually for settings,password,messages,contacts etc.The data is better to be moved manually.

Hi guys,

I have a Z1 Compact and I'm pretty sure that until the last PC Companion update I was able to backup everything, including photo's in one hit? Now I get a message telling me that photo's were unable to be backed up and that I should trying restarting my device.

I know it is easier to backup your photos manually but I was nice to just be able to backup everything in one go!

Any ideas

So you have backed up or not your pictures?It is better to save them manually because you save a lot of space that would take from the backup file itself.

Yep, I can backup manually but it won't backup my pictures... I thought that was the whole point of a "complete" backup

I have opened up File Manager from within Sony PC Companion and none of my data is there.

Specifically I cannot find my photos and videos so that I can manually transfer them to my PC.

Any suggestions, please?

(Edit at 15:33: I should say that my phone is a Sony C5303)
