In the market where I'm situated a small OTG adapter was included in the box, which means that you can connect a wired mouse to the device and navigate the display with the mouse instead of your finger(s).

If you are still using PC Companion, try and download the Xperia Companion program > install it on your computer > keep the device turned off and not connected to the computer > tap "Software repair" > check the little box in the bottom left corner where it says "my device can't be found/started or is a Smartwatch 3" > tap "Done" and proceed with the on-screen instructions. You can read more about this process on the link below.

/t5/FAQ/How-to-perform-a-software-repair-with-Xperia-Companion/m-p/1103057

I hope that helps!

Argh Infuriating issue! Touch Screen unresponsive

Hi all, I have found an old z3 compact in the draw that I need to wipe as it still has all my data on it but annoyingly the phones screen doesn't respond. I have tried using the pc companion but this doesn't seem to work. I keep getting the device is locked when trying to do anything with it, even if I try to do it when the phone is turned off and plugging the usb in (all that is displayed on the screen is the charge percentage). All I want to do is get rid of the data so I can see if the screen works again and recycle but if it doesn't thrown it away and not worry about my stuff. Thanks for any help
