My Z5P was dead a few days ago. I used Sony Companion to rest the phone back to factory setting. I followed all the procedures suggested. When I restarted the phone, the phone kept showing the Sony Xperia logo, then back screen, then came back with the Sony logo, until the battery drained.

I put my phone back to Sony Companion again. It showed that my device is locked. Unfortunately, the phone is back screen, there is no way to "unlock" the phone. Besides, I supposed to have reset the phone, I don't see how to unlock the phone.

Hi @FelixY, let me see if I can help out here.

From your description it sounds like your phone is stuck in a so called bootloop. The first thing that i would recommend is to try removing the SIM card/Try another SIM card on your phone, and then try restarting the phone. If the phone works as intended without a SIM car or with another SIM card, the SIM card might be damaged and in need of replacement. Secondly you could also try to remove the SD card if you have one. If the phone restarts successfully after you remove the SD card, your SD card may be damaged and in need of replacement.

If none of these measures work and a software repair do not manage to get you past the boot screen, I suggest that you get in contact with your local support team to have the phone sent to an authorized service center. If you have any questions regarding things such as service routines, warranty and consumer laws, these kind of questions are best answered by your local support team as well.

Let me know how it goes and feel free to return if you have any further questions!
