Z5 compact battery full then dying

Hello! Hoping to please get some advice on my z5 Compact which has over the last couple of weeks started to drain the battery incredibly quickly going from 100% to magically shutting down. I then have to plug in a power suppy, switch it back on and then its back to an ok % battery.

it shuts down during browsing, texting anything really.

ive done a factory reset, ive done a software repair. it's doing it in safe mode too.

ive looked on the internet and im not the only one with this problem however I'm wondering if I get the battery replaced will this fix it??

I just can't be bothered trying to find a new phone right now... but I do have to have a constant power source on me at all times which is fun

Hi @ashishmunde, very sorry to hear about this.

Based on the troubleshooting you have already done on your own and the fact that the device does not start up on it's own without plugging it in to a charger after it has turned off, this is related to the hardware in your device.

Before the device has been examined by a trained technician at an authorized service centre, it's difficult to say exactly what the cause is and what kind of part(s) needs to be replaced. I recommend that you get in touch with your Local support team and ask them if there are any authorized service centre where you live, so you can visit one and have the device examined.

Have you tried the battery test under Service Menu (dial *#*#7378423#*#*) >Service tests, to see if you need a battery replacement?
