I have a problem with the ear sensor .

Basically is not working and the phone is not opening when I end a call.

could you test the proximity sensor?

Also, does your phone has a protective case, film and/or glass? if it does, remove it and clean the screen, if it doesn't clean the screen.

How to test your device?

Settings > About phone > Diagnostics > Test

The first thing to try is to repair the phone with XC to narrow down the problem

All of them have this. Out of the box design flaw.

*cough* Looks like Sony hasn't done basic engineering.*cough*

My solution was to gently massage the top portion of the phone squeezing on both sides. It comes back every now and then.
