I am experiencing major overheating problems. Just took my phone off the charger (so would have been a little warm), was at 100%, read three new WhatsApp messages, including one picture, clicked a YouTube notification, watched part of one video, then started to watch another, which closed after 2 minutes due to overheating. Power dropped 5% doing this.

The phone is warm, and often hot throughout the day, even if I do nothing for hours, and battery charge is dropping rapidly, typically faster the hotter the phone is. What on earth is going on? This is making parts of the phone unusable, and also making it unpleasant simply to make a call (as the phone is so hot).

I have just received notification of the same update for my Z4 Tablet - there is no way I am installing it...

Yeah, I have the exact same issue. After updating to 7.1.1 it keeps shutting down the Youtube app due to overheating. Feels good getting an old nagging issue back with the new update, doesn't it?

So at least one other user has the same ongoing problem - can anyone tell me how to sort it out, as until then I will have to keep rejecting the upgrade messages on my Z4 tablet
