This is a standard feature of the Z3 and Sony doesn’t seem to care, the worst customer service imaginable and they charge you for the privilege.

I first had a problem with my phone with the front screen coming away whilst it was still in warranty. I phoned Sony who confirmed that the repair would be covered by warranty so I sent the phone to them. On receipt they said that the rear screen of the phone was cracked and that they would charge me £165 for the repair. After fruitlessly arguing my case I reluctantly paid the exorbitant repair charge.

Within days of receiving my phone back the rear screen cracked, it had not been dropped or mishandled in any way. This time Sony did of to repair it FOC as a "good will gesture".

Now some six months later the back screen is becoming detached. The design of this phone is just not fit for purpose. I think I'll just forget about Sony and buy a Samsung.
