Bluetooth 4.1 driver upgrade:

I have a Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact . As you might now this device uses SnapDragon 801 model number SoC MSM 8974AC . According to Qualcomm specifications http://www.qualcomm.com/snapdragon/processors/801 this processor is compatible with Bluetooth 4.1 , however the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact has 4.0 only enabled. does anyone have an idea if it is possible to upgrade to firmware/software to enable BT 4.1 on this device?

According to Bluetooth special interest group i have the following: Crucially, Bluetooth 4.1 is an upgradeable path for all existing Bluetooth 4.0 devices as well. The changes can be made (at the manufacturer’s discretion) through patches applied over the air. Consequently devices you already own may be about to get a lot smarter.

Qualcom snapdragon 801 processor technical specifications also specifies Bluetooth 4.1 as being supported on this processor, see link in my previous post.
