Hello.

I have received a small gadget. It is a fan that can be plugged into a mobile phone. I have found out, that it works on many phones, but it does not work on Xperia. I have tried it on Z3 Compact and Z5 Dual. I can connect mouse to the phone and it works. But the fan does not work. I am assuming that the consumption of the fan is higher than the phone can give. Are there any settings that could be used to increase the power which is given by phone over the microUSB?

Thank you

Jan

Thank you. When I select Detect USB Device, phone starts searching and fan starts working. After while it says No USB device detected and FAN stops. Any idea, how to make it powering the USB without detection of correct device? The device does not need anything except power.

I've managed to charge my DS4 controller with my Z5C. I think the device needs an IC on the receiving end, and a motor isn't enough to trick the phone in to keeping a current output from micro USB. What happens if you set an app like tasker to keep checking the USB so it refreshes?
