      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have&amp;nbsp;an&amp;nbsp;Xperia Z5 Compact and have the problem where an echo is heard by the other caller/receiver each time. Has anyone with this problem upgraded their phone to Nougat and has this version fixed the echo problem.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Can this problem be fixed by software or is it a hardware fix?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any help will be appreciated.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="https://community.sony.co.uk/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/981786"&gt;@Moraki&lt;/A&gt;, welcome to our community!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I'm sorry to hear about this, must be very annoying for the counterpart. &lt;IMG class="lia-deferred-image lia-image-emoji" src="https://community.sony.com.mk/html/images/smilies/035.png" alt="Slightly_frowning_Face" title="Slightly_frowning_Face" /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It's hard to say if this is caused by hardware, software or network before we have done some troubleshooting.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I'd recommend that you start with testing the microphone when you are outside of a call. To test the microphone, go to Settings &amp;gt; About phone &amp;gt; Diagnostics &amp;gt; Test &amp;gt; Microphone. Can you hear the echo when the recording is being played in the second part of the test?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can also change the preferred network type in your phone and see if this only occurs when using 3G to make calls and not when using GSM/2G.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;To change the network mode, go to Settings &amp;gt; More &amp;gt; Mobile networks &amp;gt; Preferred network type &amp;gt; GSM/2G Only and make a few calls and see if the counterpart is still hearing an echo.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Let me know how it went!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi Jonas,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The echo can be heard by the other person I am talking with. It occurs when in LTE and 3G network modes. I have also changed USIM / carrier whicg didnt make a difference.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I did the microphone diagnostic test which passes without any echo.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have read on the forum that afew users resolved the issue by having the primary and secondary mirophones replaced. Would this be the only option to fix this problem?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Since data is being deleted, creating a &lt;A href="https://community.sony.co.uk/t5/c-sonymobile/backup+using+Xperia+Companion/pd-p/Xperia_Companion_Backup_Restore" class="lia-product-mention" data-product="192-1"&gt;backup using Xperia Companion&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;before starting with the repair process is recommended!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If there is no change after the software repair your phone needs to be examined by a trained technician at an authorized service centre.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Make: Sony&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Range: Xperia Z5&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Mode: E6653&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Android version: 7.1.1&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Build: 32.4.A.0.160&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When I make a call or when i receive a call the receiver hears their voice is being repeated. Its very upsetting as many of them disconnect the call because of the poor quality.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please advise what is the best way to remove this echo issue. You can change the preferred&amp;nbsp;network type in Settings &amp;gt; More &amp;gt; Mobile networks &amp;gt; Preferred network type &amp;gt; GSM/2G&amp;nbsp;Only. The echo issues persists.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Me, and two of my friends have same echo problem, we all have z5 compact. I heart that over 50% users of this model over the whole world have same issue. Its shame that sony want admit mistake. Its hardver issue and all of you with same issue must change your microphone.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;same her. same phone - same problem.&amp;nbsp; Im quite disapointed since the phone was not cheap. I have tried everything suggested - nothing works. I dont want to have it fixed by authorized dealer since it will probably cost more than a new phone.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My only solution is to have it on loud speaker all the time - so i can not talk anywhere outside my house, unless i want all to listen in.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi same problem here since day 1, which was a few months ago. Tried all your suggestions, removing apps, changing network and all but nothing changed. It works fine only with the headset on.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Given how many people experience this trouble Sony should recall the product and send a new one. Like other people this is not a phone we can do without for weeks during repairs, it's a business-purpose phone.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Very disappointed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I guess Sony is not looking forward to receiving a class action on this.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;regards,&lt;/P&gt;</description>
